Petition to SA’s top 5 asset managers

Our 2018 petition calling on SA’s big five asset managers – Allan Gray, Coronation, Investec, Old Mutual and Stanlib, and the Government Employee’s Pension Fund – to create fossil-fuel free investment options so that we can all start investing in a climate-safe, financially secure future, is now online. A version of the petition text with full links and supporting references is here.

If you’re affiliated with UCT (student, staff or alum), please sign our long-standing petition calling on the University of Cape Town to be true to its own research and traditions, and to the direct call of Archbishop Emeritus and Nobel Peace Prize winner Desmond Tutu – and divest from fossil fuels. Please also check out our main UCT campaign page.

UCT Science Students Council

The UCT Science Students Council has launched a new petition in August 2020 calling on the university to divest from fossil fuels; please support.
