Terrible Twins: Finance and Fossil Fuels

📣It’s almost time for the second edition of Cape Town Climate Week: 18 – 22 September 2023

🌱We believe that climate justice is plural and intersectional. There are so many ways to care for people and the planet. Embracing these different ways makes this movement more inclusive, accessible, and powerful.

✊Cape Town Climate Week is a week-long annual event dedicated to raising awareness about the need for system change as a pathway to address climate change and its related social and political injustices.

Cape Town Climate Week 2023 will focus on five thematic areas:

🚲 Transport
💡 Energy and water
🥬 Food
💵 Finance
🎨 Artivism

✨Each day will be filled with workshops, activations, talks, gardening, and more.

⭐️The thematic areas of Cape Town Climate Week 2023 reflect the complex and multifaceted nature of the climate crisis in South Africa and the need for innovative solutions that take into account the country's unique socio-economic and cultural context. By exploring these thematic areas, Cape Town Climate Week 2023 aims to promote dialogue, collaboration and, fun, and dynamic action towards building a sustainable and just future in South Africa.
🌍We hope to see you at one or all of the events as we create pathways for system change, together!
